Two floors of ceiling over a stacked-stone fireplace wall, a granite bar with stools, and tall windows at the far end. Somewhere to work that is not your kitchen table, and somewhere to put people when your own place is not big enough for all of them. Its doors open onto the pool courtyard.

A treadmill, bikes, a cable weight machine, a bench, and floor enough to stretch out on. Mirrors down one wall, two fans turning overhead, and no second membership to keep paying for.

Courtyard, playground & grounds
Walkways run between the buildings through landscaped courtyard, with a playground in it and mature trees over most of it. Lawn to cross, shade to cross it in, and a route to your door that is not an interior corridor.

Patios & balconies
Outdoor space is a select-home feature, not a given. The homes that have it get a balcony upstairs or a fenced patio at ground level — a door you can open and a place to put two chairs. Ask whether the home you are shown is one of them.
